Old St. Nick
At our house, Old St. Nick visits on December 5 h. That night, just before bed we put our shoes outside our bedroom doors, as is the way of our people.
The next morning, our shoes are filled with candy, money and all other sorts of good things.
As a kid, my sisters and I put out every pair of shoes in the house. Unfortunately, St. Nick still only filled one pair each.
These days St. Nick delivers more than fits in a standard pair of shoes, but I think we’ll let that slide. It’s for the kids sake, of course.
