Concerts

So it has finally dawned on me why concerts are primarily filled with college age kids. You might think that its because of disposable income, young ears that don’t care about the volume, or young bodies that can handle the mosh pit. I offer you my own explaination… the idol factor. When I was much younger I enjoyed going to concerts. The rock stars always seemed uberhuman, bigger than life up on that stage. Now, if I head back to the tour bus for an autograph, I’m frequently left underwhelmed. The rock stars seem just like normal people, albeit stuck up ones who sign your autograph while telling you how they won’t let you take their picture because they’ve got a deadline to get autographs signed. Now its almost to the point where once I see that happening I like their music even less.

Or maybe I’m just to old to enjoy the mosh pit and 12 foot speakers.
