James Clear recently sent out his his goal setting newsletter where he discussed the importance of setting identity-based goals and how these are easier to stick than action-oriented goals.

Podcaster Sean McCabe (@seanwes) has talked about setting big audacious goals and how you need to percieve your goals as met but working toward the point in time when reality matches your mindset.

“I continue to write down my goals and believe I’ve accomplished them.”

Sean’s goal setting echoes James’ by changing the mindset in which we live. Rather than focus on the immediate habits, it’s about the long view.

These two ideas put together are challenging me in new ways.
