I think Benjamin Franklin called this one in 1787. And he didn’t even know about the NSA.

The saddest part is that he noted that people will become corrupted and need a despotic government. Makes me wonder if there will be a “national emergency” to extend this administration. Maybe in reaction to Twerking and Honey Boo-boo.
