2007-04-04 Groundhog Day Resolutions
Meh. This post is almost a week late. Granted, I was on vacation last week, so I think I can use that as an excuse. What’s with hotels charging for internet access anyway? Bunch of savages.
Here’s my April 4th belated review of Groundhog Day Resolutions. It isn’t pretty. At all. I thought things looked bad at the beginning of March.
The goals
- Be fit
- The good news is the weight bench has been fixed. The bad news is I haven’t used it. With two weeks out for vacation, and the remainder of the time spent packing or unpacking from said vacations, I haven’t made the time to exercise. The ugly news is the four pounds I’ve gained by ignoring exercise and the diet.
- Goal status: Horrible.
- Write More
- Four posts total – that’s one per week.
- Goal status: Shameful.
- Remember important annual events
- There weren’t any annual events for me to remember in March. That keeps me from completely slipping into failed resolution hell.
- Goal status: Satisfactory
- Deliberate Dates
- This was the month for vacations. First, there was Cancun with The Wife. She and I left two days early for a work sponsored trip (her work). We spent time with two other couples and had a great time.
- Based on some free time I suddenly found myself with (my client decided to run out of budget), we took the kids on a spring break trip to Tampa. We got to the beach and Busch Gardens before it got cold and had a good time.
- Goal status: Satisfactory.
