I hate to say it, but our 5-year-old is so sweet when he’s sick:
“Dad, why is God still making me throw up?” (This after having prayed for healing an hour ago when he last threw up.)
“God isn’t making you throw up,” I reply. “Your tummy is trying to throw up food that it thinks is yucky. You and I know that there’s no more food in it, but your stomach doesn’t know that.”
“Oh,” he says. “It’s like how the computer doesn’t know Shockwave is installed even though it is.”
A pretty good analogy for 5 a.m.
Bumper sticker seen on car: Clinton – Gore
Can you honestly tell me that in the past six years (or were it ten?) he couldn’t find 10 minutes to pull it off?
I thought it was bad when I saw a Bush – Cheney bumper sticker last week on another car, but at least they are actually still in office.
I hope all the liberals aren’t too upset that the Republicans will win control of the Coronor’s office here in Appleton. Perhaps they should have actually provided a candidate, no?
Our new universal remote does everything we need it to do, except actually turn on the tv!
November is National Novel Writing Month. Alas, I shall yet again not be participating this year. I have, however, cleared November of 2022 with my wife as an okay month to write since the kids should be out of the house by then. She told me that I was not dying and therefore I am in “no hurry”. It seems that no one is awaiting “The Life and Times of Leroy the Flyboy Axe Murderer” (working title).
